The pleasure trip will included a visit to India's tallest stone tower - Qutub Minar, as well as a visit to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Presidential House, Red Fort and Jama Masjid. India Gate is a purpose-built place to honor all the soldiers who regrettably lost their lives in the Anglo-Afghan War and World War I.
We depart for a trip to Agra in the morning, followed by hotel check-in. Spend the afternoon soaking up the beauty of the Taj Mahal, followed by shopping in the evening. Taj Mahal A classic example of Mughal art is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Emperor Shah Jahan. It took 22 years and over 20,000 workers and over 32 million rupees to construct the monument dedicated it to his beloved wife.
After breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Built-in the 16th century, this primeval fortified city was once the metropolitan area of the Mughal Empire. The complex consists of the Diwan-i-Khas building with a beautifully carved pillar in the center and the Panch Mahal palace. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in into your hotel and relax. Later explore the countless shopping opportunities in Jaipur. During the tour we will start with the basic crafts of Rajasthan namely block making and block printing and visit some local shops. We will also explore some places famous for a variety of jewelry including large tribal jewelry, gold and diamond jewellery along with colorful lac bangles.
In the morning after breakfast set off for a day of exploration in Jaipur. Climb to the top of the hill fort – Amber Fort on elephant back. Witness the dramatic splendor of the fortress nestled in the Aravalli Hills and surrounded by fortified ramparts. Then visit the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, a five-story building with 953 small windows called jarokkhas decorated with intricate latticework. The imposing red sandstone structure resembles a honeycomb and was originally built for royal ladies to peer down without being seen.
Then visit the City Palace. Built in the 18th century, the City Palace is an excellent example of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles and fortified walls built to defend against invading armies. Also visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, an astronomical site built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur in the 18th century with 13 architectural astronomical instruments.
After breakfast, drive back to Delhi and direct transfer to International Airport for flight back home.
